QATAR GAS AND PETROLEUM JOBS

Nakilat has a long-standing aspiration to over time become the primary employer of all the sea staff on all the 29 Nakilat vessels, irrespective of which company is the ships’ manager. In March 2013 QGTCMI launched an Employment Novation Opportunity (ENO), extending the opportunity of direct employment with QGTCMI to those other officers who joined the Nakilat project before 2011. Go here for more information on the ENO.

NAKILAT’s 25 fully-owned LNGs and the 4 VLGCs are managed respectively by Shell International Trading and Shipping Company Limited (“STASCO) and Nakilat Shipping (Qatar) Limited (“NSQL”) . NSQL was established in 2012 as Nakilat’s ‘in-house’ ships’ manager. All our Seagoing certificated Officers deployed on the Nakilat fleet are employees of either QGTC Shipping (MI) Inc. (“QGTCMI”) or Shell International Shipping Services Pte Ltd (“SISS”).

Qatar is the 16th safest country in the world, based on the safest and most dangerous countries ranking. Violent crime is very low and most tourists will never face any safety concern. The common crime is pickpocketing, here is a large police presence throughout the country.

QGTCMI has established in Doha it's in-house Marine Personnel Department. The Department is actively involved in its contractual and ‘best practice’ responsibilities as an employer of sea staff. Accordingly, the Department works closely with its appointed ‘crew administrator’ Shell Ship Management Limited (SSML, based in the Isle of Man) and the relevant ship Operators (STASCO and NSQL).
